Met veel genoegen uitnodigen we je uit voor het DOHN-netwerk evenement op zondag 9 juni tussen 14.00 en 17.00 uur op het adres Bilderdijkkade 50 E13 in Amsterdam.
Tijdens het evenement stellen we je op de hoogte van de recente activiteiten van DOHN, met de nadruk op de documentaire Lotus Sports Club, het spin-off project van Iron Legs uit 2017. We geven het startschot voor de Kickstarter crowdfunding campagne.

Lotus Sports Club tells the story of three trans-identifying individuals (FTM), part of a women’s football team in rural Cambodia (Kampong Chnang), who find the strength and courage to live the life they have chosen. Sovan is the 59-year-old passionate founder and coach of the team that he established in 2009 in order to encourage solidarity among straight, lesbian and gender-diverse players. After living with Sovan for many years, two of the young players, Amas and Srey Leak, decide to leave their familiar nest and move to Cambodia’s bustling capital, Phnom Penh.

Vanaf juni 2019 lanceren we een Kickstarter crowdfunding campagne om de postproductie van Lotus Sports Club te voltooien. De campagne zal samenvallen met de FIFA Women’s World Cup 2019 (7 juni – 7 juli). We willen aanhaken bij de aandacht voor het vrouwenvoetbal, waardoor we hopen een groter aantal potentiële donoren te bereiken.
Tijdens het evenement zullen we de details van de campagne uiteenzetten en krijg je exclusief een acht minuten durende preview van de nieuwe film te zien. Het evenement op zondag 9 juni zal helpen de campagne te promoten via ons netwerk van DOHN-vrienden en andere LHBT-belangengroepen die met ons verbonden zijn. We gaan een campagne opzetten die kan worden gedeeld op sociale media. De hulp van de eerste vroege supporters zal van cruciaal belang zijn om de promotie verder te duwen. Om succes van de campagne te garanderen, hebben we jouw hulp nodig!
Voor deze gelegenheid verzorgd de gerenommeerde chef Richard Taylor heerlijke hapjes en drankjes om dit nieuwe en opwindende project en het begin van de zomer tussen vrienden te vieren.

It is with great pleasure that we invite you to DOHN Summer Networking Event on Sunday June 9th, between 2 and 5pm at the address Bilderdijkkade 50 E13, Amsterdam.
During the event we will update you on DOHN’s most recent activities, focusing on the documentary Lotus Sports Club, the spin-off project of our 2017 project Iron Legs. We launch the Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign.

Starting in June 2019, we will launch a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign to complete post-production of Lotus Sports Club. The campaign will coincide with the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup (7 June – 7 July). We aim in fact to capitalise on the current interest in the subject of women’s football. And due to the subsequent raised public awareness, we believe that we will reach a larger number of potential donors.
During the event we will be sharing all the details of the campaign and we will screen (for your eyes only) an exclusive eight minutes long preview of the new film.
The event on Sunday 9 June will help promoting the campaign through our network of DOHN’s supporters and other LGBT advocacy groups associated with us. We want to build up a story that can be shared around social media. The help of these first early supporters will be critical to push the promotion further. We need your help!
For the occasion, renowned chef Richard Taylor, will kindly offer our guests delicious drinks and canapés to celebrate between friends this new exciting project and the beginning of the summer.
